PLATFORM CAPABILITIES FOR ESRS REPORTING
Coordinate sustainability data, reporting tasks and supporting evidence across your organization.
Prepare a sustainability statement in which every reported figure can be traced to its source, owner and approval.
ESG Platform is sustainability reporting software. It brings data, responsibilities and evidence into one shared workflow, from data collection to disclosures under the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). Companies can use it for their own reporting, consultancies for several clients, and assurance providers to review the result. The six steps below show how the reporting process is organized in the platform.
FROM REPORTING SCOPE TO ASSURANCE SUPPORT
Define your reporting scope
Set the framework, reporting boundary and period. For ESRS reporting, use a double materiality assessment to identify material impacts, risks and opportunities. Then mark the ESRS topics and sub-topics that are material for the reporting year. This sets the scope before any data is requested.
Define disclosures and datapoints
Use the assessment to select the ESRS disclosures, metrics and datapoints to report. Add the disclosure requirements that apply irrespective of materiality. Each datapoint shows its ESRS standard and data type, qualitative or quantitative. Datapoints linked to Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) indicators are flagged.
Collect data and track its sources
Collect data from departments, entities, facilities and value chain partners through requests with assigned owners and deadlines. Each value is linked to its source, reporting period, methodology and the person responsible, with invoices, meter readings, contracts or other evidence attached.
Build your first report
Bring approved figures, calculations and narrative disclosures into your sustainability statement. Each reported value stays linked to its underlying data, methodology and evidence, so reviewers and your assurance provider can see where it comes from.
Build the processes behind the reporting
Make reporting repeatable with owners, reviewers, deadlines, consistent methodologies, calculation rules and approval workflows. Reviews are tracked across teams and subsidiaries. Material risks are kept in a register with owners, overdue actions and reassessment dates.
Manage data and support assurance
Keep ESG data, calculations and evidence current and traceable, including Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, with location-based and market-based Scope 2. Methodologies, emission factors, changes and approvals are recorded in an audit trail. Your independent assurance provider reviews data and evidence through controlled access.

QUESTIONS ABOUT USING ESG PLATFORM
How does the AI layer work, and who approves the result?
In Professional and Enterprise, the AI layer helps draft narrative disclosures from the data provided and identify possible gaps or inconsistencies. Your team reviews the output and decides what to include in the report.
What happens in the second reporting year?
Carry forward last year’s data, methodologies and report content, so your figures stay comparable with the previous period. Update responsibilities, deadlines and approval steps for the next reporting cycle.
Does the platform replace our consultant or assurance provider?
No. The platform organizes data and workflows. Professional judgment stays with your team and your consultant, and assurance is carried out by an independent provider. Our partner network offers regulatory, sustainability and assurance expertise.
